LOMA Committees

LOMA committees consist of member company representatives who meet periodically to discuss common problems and responsibilities. They share information on various aspects of the insurance and financial services business, and explore ways of developing and improving their methods of operation and management.

LOMA has over 50 committees in these categories:

Education Committees

Financial and Strategic Management Committees

Human Resources Committees

Life Insurers Council Committees

Operations Committees

Technology Committees

Training and Management Committees

Through LOMA's Committees, industry professionals have the opportunity to explore issues, exchange ideas, develop a network of peers, and serve the industry as a whole by contributing to surveys, conference programs, research, and articles in LOMA's award-winning magazine Resource. Working with LOMA staff, committees initiate and develop many programs and projects. The documentation generated by their activities constitutes a wealth of valuable information.

For detailed information about the committee process and descriptions of each committee, download the Committee Handbook (169KB).

A full list of committee names and rosters can be found in LOMA's Members Only section of the Web site.

*Note:  In order to access the committee names and rosters in the Members Only section, you must be signed up for Members Only.  If you are not yet registered for LOMA’s Members Only section, please take the time to sign up as a new user by clicking here.

Only member company employees are eligible to participate on LOMA committees. (Affiliate member company employees are eligible under certain circumstances.)

LOMA's antitrust policy and the rules of conduct and compliance procedures govern all LOMA activities. These formal guidelines are intended to 1) make the occurrence of an actual antitrust violation in the course of LOMA activities impossible and 2) prevent inadvertent conduct which might give the appearance of an antitrust violation to someone unfamiliar with LOMA's nature and purposes.
